PRAB to Vote on Resolution Approving the Location, Conceptual Design, and Budget for Skateboard Park

At a Special Meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Hall Second Floor Training Room, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will vote on a resolution approving the location, conceptual design, and budget for the skateboard park in Old Memorial Park. The packet also includes a copy of an email the the City's underwriter indicating that the skateboard park will not increase the City's insurance liability. 


The following maps are also included:

An analysis indicating the distance of adjacent property lines from the skateboard park. 
A comparison analysis indicating the distance of adjacent property lines from the pool.

Finally, the packet included a letter of support for the skateboard park from residents of Northfield's east side neighborhood, as well as a letter from NESNA calling for a sound study. The City Planner's memo indicates that the skateboard park is an appropriate use of the park, and exempt from sound standards under City statute.
